Abstract:

The PhD project will examine the compulsory parental plan. As of march the 1st when filling a petition for divorce it is compulsory to include a parental plan when there are minor children. According to the law also people in an informal relation with minor children have to make a parental plan if they break up. The research will address the legal quality, effectiveness and proportionality of the compulsory parental plan, as compared to alternative measures, and explore the possibilities of producing a proposal for the most effective and most proportional legislation of high legal quality aimed at improving the execution of joint parental responsibility after divorce.
