Abstract:
My research project is about the regulation on the market for consumer credit in the Netherlands and on the EU level. Through the use of insights from behavioural economics and psychology I aim to develop a better understanding of the link between regulation and debt-related behaviour. I ask the question whether alternatives for current regulation, e.g. nudging and alternative information provision, could become future law.
