Abstract:
Real obligations are obligations that a person has because of his/her capacity of holder of a real right. In case of a servitude for instance, the obligations of the owner of the servient land might be real obligations. In this research, the applications of real obligations and their regime will be studied. In the end, the question will be faced whether or not real obligations can/should be an autonomous concept in Belgian law. Not only Belgian law will be studied, but Dutch, French and German law will be discussed as well.
