Abstract:

My PhD is part of the consortium SPARKLES which is financed by the NWO. Within SPARKLES, researchers from different disciplines (amongst which ecology, engineering and law) research the possibility of upscaling the use of solar panels on water within the Netherlands. Being the (only) legal PhD-student within this consortium, my research will be focussed on the legal and policy questions that arise within the project. I will look at the legal and policy obstacles that are faced within practice during the upscale of Sun on Water projects and how this upscaling could be possible from a legal perspective.
