It is of great interest for the Research School that PhD-researchers receive a training programme of high quality. The training programme not only adds to the quality of their own research, but also provides information on the foundations of the Ius Commune methodology.

In order to guarantee that these aims are met an individual training and supervision programme is drafted by every PhD-researcher individually. This plan contains the general principles concerning the training that the PhD-researcher will receive. It also spells out the specific responsibilities of the PhD-researcher and the supervisors. In addition specific appointments are made concerning the evaluation and assessment of the research done by the PhD-researcher. Finally an individual programme of training activities is agreed upon.
